About
AAA Law Office was founded on the belief that strong representation starts with understanding the person, family, or business behind the legal question.

Abdisamed “AJ” Awed, Esq. brings an unusual combination of legal training, dispute-resolution experience, executive leadership, and lived perspective to his practice.
At Mitchell Hamline, AJ developed a particular interest in mediation, arbitration, and the ways thoughtful legal counsel can help people resolve difficult problems before conflict defines the outcome. His dispute-resolution training has included mediation, international arbitration, and conflict-resolution theory and practice. He was also selected as an American Arbitration Association Higginbotham Fellow.
That perspective has continued through his professional life. AJ has spent more than five years in nonprofit executive leadership and currently serves as Co-Executive Director of Community Mediation Minnesota.
AAA Law Office brings those experiences together. AJ approaches legal representation by listening carefully, communicating directly, understanding the larger circumstances surrounding a problem, and developing a strategy suited to the client rather than forcing every client into the same approach.
For AJ, good lawyering is not simply knowing the law. It is helping people understand their choices and move forward with clarity.
Princles- Our Approach

Clear Communication
You should understand what is happening, what your options are, and what comes next. AJ works to make complicated legal questions understandable without talking past the people he represents.

Practical Judgement
Not every legal problem calls for the same response. Good counsel means considering the law alongside your priorities, circumstances, risks, and the outcome you are actually trying to achieve.

Cultural Competence
People bring different experiences, families, businesses, communities, and ways of understanding conflict into the legal system. Effective representation starts by recognizing that context rather than expecting every client to fit the same mold.
